Find help

Find help, organized by how you search.

Fifty state guides, condition-specific finders, and a cross-reference by level of care — built so families can navigate to the right kind of help, in the right place.

Hartley does not refer families to programs that pay for placement. Our find-help section is research, not a marketplace.

That means three things, all the time. One: programs we list have not paid us to list them. Two: programs we describe critically have not been removed at their request. Three: what we don't know about a program — because the program won't disclose, or because we haven't fully researched it yet — we say plainly.

By geography

By state

State guides cover crisis lines, Medicaid coverage, notable programs, and school district resources. Four deep-dive states are live now. Six standard guides are next. All fifty by the end of year one.

Other axes

By condition or level of care

Sometimes the right starting point is the condition, not the geography. Sometimes it's the level of care.
