A space written for you.

Fifty articles in development, written for teens and young adults — about mental health, treatment, the experience of getting help, and the experience of needing it.

Most articles about teen mental health are written for parents. The teen is the subject, not the reader. We think that's backwards on a topic that's literally about you.

This part of Hartley is different. Articles in this cluster are written for teen and young-adult readers — typically ages 13 to 19, sometimes a little younger or older. The voice is direct. The information is real. We don't pretend to be a teen, and we don't moralize.

If you're a parent reading this part of the site to understand what your teen is being told: that's fine. We won't say anything to your teen we wouldn't say in front of you.
